Trimester 1 | Foundation
Weeks 1–12
What Mom & Baby Are Experiencing
The first trimester is a season of incredible development, but it can also be one of the most physically demanding transitions for mom. As hormone levels rise, you may experience fatigue, nausea, food aversions, breast tenderness, headaches and mood changes. Meanwhile, baby is developing the foundations of their brain, spinal cord, heart and major organs. Your body is working hard behind the scenes to support this new life.
How We Support You
Our nervous system-based approach focuses on helping you feel supported as your body begins adapting to pregnancy. Through individualized chiropractic assessments and gentle, pregnancy-appropriate care, we focus on spinal mobility, muscular tension and overall physical comfort. We also introduce foundational principles of breathwork, core and pelvic floor awareness, intentional movement and recovery.
Your care includes:
2 visits per month (6 total).
Establish a baseline assessment.
Evaluate spinal and pelvic mechanics.
Address early pregnancy discomfort and postural changes.
Introduce supportive movement and wellness recommendations.
The goal of this stage: Establish a foundation for mom's wellness by supporting her body's early changes, encouraging spinal and pelvic mobility, and building awareness of her breath, core and pelvic floor as she begins her pregnancy journey.
Trimester 2 | Adaptation
Weeks 13–27
What Mom & Baby Are Experiencing
Welcome to the second trimester! For many moms, this stage brings a little more energy and relief from early pregnancy symptoms like nausea and fatigue. As your pregnancy progresses, your baby continues to grow rapidly. Their bones are hardening, movements are becoming more coordinated, facial features are developing, and you may begin feeling those first little flutters!
As your belly grows, your center of gravity begins to shift. You may notice changes in posture, increased tension through your low back and hips, round ligament discomfort, and new demands on your abdominal muscles and pelvic floor. This is an important time to begin paying attention to how your body moves, breathes and adapts to these changes.
How We Support You
As your body continues to change, our focus shifts toward supporting spinal and pelvic mobility, muscular balance and comfortable movement. Through individualized, nervous system-informed chiropractic care, we assess how your body is adapting to your growing baby and address areas of tension or restricted movement.
We also emphasize diaphragmatic breathing, core and pelvic floor coordination, intentional movement and recovery. These foundations help you develop greater awareness of your changing body and prepare for the increased physical demands of the third trimester.
Your care includes:
One visit per week (14 total).
Ongoing spinal and pelvic assessments.
Address postural changes and muscular tension.
Support hip, pelvic and low-back mobility.
Incorporate Webster Technique when clinically appropriate.
Provide movement and wellness recommendations for home.
The goal of this stage: Build strength, awareness and mobility as your body grows and prepares for the demands of the final trimester. 💚
Trimester 3 | Preparation
Weeks 28–40
What Mom & Baby Are Experiencing
You're in the home stretch! During the third trimester, baby is continuing to gain weight, develop body fat, mature their brain and lungs, and prepare for life outside the womb. Baby's movements may feel stronger, and as space becomes more limited, you may notice changes in their movement patterns.
For mom, this stage can bring some of the biggest physical demands of pregnancy. Your growing belly continues to shift your center of gravity, placing additional demands on your spine, hips and pelvis. You may experience increased low-back discomfort, pelvic pressure, hip tension, difficulty sleeping, swelling, fatigue and changes in mobility. As your body prepares for birth, breathing, relaxation and awareness of your pelvic floor become especially important.
How We Support You
Our focus during this stage is supporting your changing spinal and pelvic mechanics while helping you maintain comfortable movement as you approach delivery. Through individualized, nervous system-informed chiropractic care, we assess areas of tension, restricted mobility and muscular compensation.
We also place an emphasis on diaphragmatic breathing, pelvic floor awareness, relaxation and positions that encourage comfortable movement. The Webster Technique may be incorporated when clinically appropriate to address sacral and pelvic mechanics. Our goal is to help you feel supported, comfortable and confident as you enter the final weeks of pregnancy.
Your care includes:
Two visits per week (26 total).
Continued spinal and pelvic assessments.
Address increasing low-back, hip and pelvic discomfort.
Support pelvic and hip mobility.
Incorporate Webster Technique when clinically appropriate.
Practice diaphragmatic breathing and pelvic floor relaxation.
Explore comfortable movement and positioning.
Provide guidance for home care and physical preparation for birth.
The goal of this stage: Support mom through the increasing physical demands of late pregnancy while building awareness of her breath, pelvic floor and movement as she approaches delivery.
Postpartum | Recovery
Following delivery
What Mom & Baby Are Experiencing
While so much attention is placed on pregnancy and preparing for delivery, postpartum is a major transition that deserves just as much care and attention.
Following birth, your body begins recovering from pregnancy and delivery. Your abdominal muscles and pelvic floor are adapting, hormones are shifting, and your body is adjusting to new physical demands. You may experience fatigue, muscle soreness, postural changes and discomfort as you navigate feeding, nursing, carrying and caring for your newborn.
Meanwhile, baby is adjusting to life outside the womb, developing feeding and sleeping patterns, and becoming familiar with their new environment. This is a season of adjustment for both of you!
How We Support You
Postpartum care is an opportunity to shift the focus back to you. Through individualized chiropractic assessments and care, we evaluate spinal and pelvic mechanics and address areas of muscular tension and discomfort following pregnancy and delivery.
We also focus on the physical demands of new motherhood, including feeding positions, nursing posture, carrying your baby and returning to comfortable everyday movement. Our goal is to help you feel supported as you navigate recovery and adjust to life with your newest addition.
Your care includes:
Four postpartum chiropractic visits.
Postpartum spinal and pelvic assessments.
Address postural stress from feeding, nursing and carrying baby.
Support comfortable spinal and pelvic mobility.
Address muscular tension and everyday discomfort.
Introduce appropriate movement and recovery recommendations.
Discuss ongoing wellness needs as your body transitions after birth.
The goal of this stage: Continue prioritizing mom's wellness after delivery, supporting her physical comfort and helping her navigate the demands of postpartum recovery and motherhood.
